RedyMoney welcomes you to a mid-week, and we hope that you have made much desired progress so far.

Either way, pop in if you can and enjoy!!!

Alabama has its fair share of support and incentive for entrepreneurs. Thanks to the Alabama Launchpad, entrepreneurs the opportunity to take their innovative ideas to another level. Congrats to all the winners. All who entered, won. They won the war of just sitting on an idea, without getting serious about it!!!! Go Bama!!!

And today's tiny town feature comes to you from the town of:
And for today’s #LifeInAlabama feature:

In today’s tiniest town feature, we look at Blue Springs, in Barbour County. With an estimated population of 92 in 2015, this is a small decline from the estimated population of 96, in 2010 and 121 in 2000.Home to the Blue Springs State Park, featuring a spring pool and enough campground to go around. Just in time foe spring. Picnic anyone???

Have a happy Wednesday everyone!!!

Welcome Spring!!!

Welcome to mostly warm and sunny days. Spring break anyone??? Parents, remember that the children need not only to take a mental break from school, but an opportunity to experience nature to rejuvenate them and what better time than spring!!! Be on the weather lookout though, rumor last year had it, this year’s spring may take an unexpected turn.

Our inspiring quote for this week commemorates the beginning of spring. Think about it: everything has a season and nothing lasts forever. Walt Disney tells us, “the way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.” Is there a decision you have been putting off? Or have you finally made an important decision but have not yet out it into action? Whether this is a financial or personal decision, you are encouraged to heed Disney’s advice.

It is important to note that this, as any other time, is tricky to talk about saving and investing, when hard working citizens have been victims of various schemes of those who are robbing them. Be vigilant when you are at the ATMs. Thankfully this was discovered and the bank is lauded for notifying the police as soon as they flagged activity as suspicious. It means still, that the banks, bank personnel and customers themselves need to pay more attention; also look out for anyone acting suspicious at an ATM. How long really does it takes to withdraw money? You might want to alert bank security if you find a user in an ATM for an inordinately long period.

RedyMoney sends you off to a week filled with energy and you being on high alert. Have a productive week everybody!!!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

Aren’t we all thankful that we have made it through this week? Despite all the hiccups of the week, Friday is here and it has brought its wonderful friend, St. Patrick!!!

. Thanks to our friends over in Fairhope, Alabama for this pic

Another reason to thank St. Patrick. He brings in the weekend and because stores love him they are giving discounts and prizes to their customers. Talk about an ease on our pockets. What discount would you want that you are not seeing though?

But lest we digress from the real meaning of St. Patrick’s Day; a celebration of the Irish culture that has been infused into our American heritage. For those amongst us who are fit that particular bill, we say Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!! The most heart warming part of this celebration (and each year) is that even the non-Irish, celebrate on this day. They are celebrating the heritage of their fellow brothers and given them a chance to know more about that part of their culture. This means that as a people, we are capable of celebrating uniqueness and capable of being happy for our brothers and sisters. It means deep down, we know we are interdependent and have overtime come to love the diversity of our country.

Time for the Friday dance

You can’t go wrong with these cats!!! There is no better send off into the weekend that one filled with celebrations and discounts. Have a lovely one family!!!

Happy RedyWednesday!!!

As the observance of Red Cross month continues, RedyMoney shares this story of our neighbor in Wisconsin, who  even at 101 still takes volunteering seriously. This is some legacy to leave behind and her family must be proud to be related to her. With the aim of collecting 101 pints of blood and at the end of the drive, clocking in at 93, Ms. Blanche Baudhuin must be nothing short of satisfied, at what was achieved. This drive means more lives will be saved and those in dire need of something so seemingly simple can get it. Kindness and helping has no age limit!!!

And today's tiny town feature comes to you from the town of:
And today’s #LifeInAlabama feature comes to you courtesy of the town:

Faunsdale!! With an estimated population of 94 (2015 census), Faunsdale is home to the Holderman Mennonite Church. Never visited this small town? Well spring is the perfect time for you to explore, with Crawfish festival and Biker rally, the town does not shy from celebrating its small blessings!!!

Feeling a little bit Irish??? Well you are in good company and will remain so come Friday, St. Patrick’s Day. Birmingham has you covered!!! Any plans anyone???

With that said RedyMoney sends you off to your mid-week on a high note.

Have a RedyMonday!!!

A RedyMonday is one that sees you having the requisite inspiration and drive to achieve all your goals, step-by-step, for any given week.

Inspiration for this week comes from Harold Stephen and as RedyMoney encourages us all to be brave in the face of every obstacle, it goes: “There is a great difference between worry and  concern. A worried person sees a problem, and a concerned person solves a problem.”

Yes, we are still in Tax Season. RedyMoney implores with all citizens to be cautious of how you respond to prompts to pay taxes. Facts to be guided by, the IRS will not ask you to wire money. If the IRS is contacting you for the first time about owed taxes, this usually takes the form of a letter in the mail. Also, do not confirm any tax return information over the phone, if the person is not satisfied with you saying you will visit a tax service center, more than likely it is a scammer, and you are well within your right to end the call. Scamming affects thousands of Americans, increase your knowledge to decrease your likelihood of becoming a victim!!!

Stores closing down/ ceasing operations is also a part of business, knowing when to cut losses and going back to the drawing board. But what about the families that will be affected by this job cut???

All in a day in Alabama….. You have to stop and wonder, what role do I play in all that is happening around me? Am I making a good contribution or a bad one?

With all this said, RedyMoney wished you a productive, hopeful and bold week. Remember to worry less!!!!

Friday has never looked better!!!

Why do we say that? When all we can hope is that your week was more productive and rewarding than not? Well: “We hope your Friday has never looked better!”. We have much in store to keep you well supplied over the weekend.

Who says Social Media is just for the lonely and those on the troll? Well Mark Zuckerberg showed them!!!  The founder of Facebook met with former death row inmate,  and this saw him apologizing to Anthony Ray Hinton for a mistake that cost the former inmate 30 years of his life…. You cannot help but consider that showing care and humanity can be done by all and must be done by all: in this, there should be no divide. RedyMoney hopes Mr. Hinton gets the requisite support to re-integrate into the society as a man with much to contribute. A billionaire has shown that it doesn’t take much to show you care and admit remorse when you find someone was wronged.

These students may have believed that no one cared enough to fund their full tuition: that would have been prior to them hearing the announcement. Such announcement can be a dream come true (literally) for thousands of students.Recent students have revealed too, that amongst the top worries of university students (and their parents, of course) is the cost for tuition. RedyMoney celebrates with these students and parents, whom have all had a major burden eased. Doesn’t it make you feel good when other persons feel good?

Life in alabama!!!
And for today’s #LifeInAlabama feature:

we anticipate the coming of spring and of course Alabama is known for an ideal spring. Since a lot of residents and tourists hike; you can do a rewind (or even your first hike) on one of these trails: Hike to get different views of the Bald Rock Outlook via the boardwalk with access for the disabled.

When you seem to run out of inspiration, a trek out in nature should rejuvenate you. Have an inspired weekend family!!!!

Welcome to Wednesday!!!

The flu persists!!! Even here in Alabama. Thanks to our friends over at American Red Cross for keeping us in the know!!! Take every necessary precaution to protect yourselves before it escalates to a life threat.

You got that right!!1 Friday should see the iconic Shaquille O’Neal grace the city of Birmingham!!!

And a big thank you to Coca-Cola for this generous donation. No town is fully functional without well-equipped centers to deal with emergencies. Its ventures and acts such as these, that make RedyMoney a proud business operating in Alabama. We are among great people and fellow business operators.

Life in alabama!!!
In today’s #LifeInAlabama feature (where we highlight what makes Alabama unique and a memorable visiting state), we will look at some of the tiniest towns in our state. Yes!!! There are states whose population was in the double digits at some point). Can you imagine that???

Our featured tiny town for this week is Haleburg (Henry County) with a population of 101 (2015), a fall from 103 (2010), further fall from 108 (2000) and a rise from 97 (1990)!!! In the nineties, this town was below zero!!! Believe it or not, since 1930, the highest population was 274 – in that same decade.

It is a sunny day and RedyMoney encourages you all to keep a sunny outlook on life as you go through the rest of your week!!! To all beautiful women of Alabama, RedyMoney encourages you to be bold today, tomorrow and everyday!!! RedyMoney salutes all of you, and we thank you for being powerful, graceful and strong. #InternationalWomen’sDay

Happy RedyMonday!!!

After a mixed weekend, we are now solidly and securely in the third month of the year; the closing of the first quarter. Time is certainly going fast. Have you achieved any of your goals for the first quarter? Done anything on your wish list?

For inspiration to get you through this week, we look at the type of motivation that makes you feel re-energized to sticking to your personal, professional and financial goals: “a small start is still a start.”

It is simple, you have written down your goals for 2017 and why you want them. But what action have you done, directly or indirectly to bring you closer to the goals you have set down? If your goal is saving $10,000; do you consider putting away $20 per week a step towards that goal? And, did you give yourself reasonable time to save this money? If not; chances are you should.

Taking into consideration borrowing/ honoring your debt: have your goals been so aligned to allow for you to repay this debt with ease? More importantly, do you really need to borrow? Borrowing is to ease the burden or emergencies that we are unprepared for, with that in mind, a goal can be to save, even the smallest amount you can, so if you need to borrow, you borrow less!!!

Just in case the news did not reach you, the IRS may owe you.

Remember we are in Red Cross month. As we go through this month, RedyMoney hopes you can find motivation through the acts of kindness that Alabama is known for. Just think: you are passing someone on the street who may have donated blood that in turned saved someone’s life. Even if it had nothing to do with you, that’s comforting to know!!!

Have a blessed, focused and inspired week Redy family!!!

Welcome to March!!!

And the weekend….. Both are good news and both are welcomed today. It is a new month filled with its own lessons and opportunities. We hope you have already planned your strategies for this month upon reflecting last month.

You know America should not be on short supply for motivation, inspiration and a call to be great. From Black History Month to observing Red Cross month shows that America did get the memo: that heroes do live amongst us, creating a kinder, more caring and more inclusive legacy. All heroes of the American Red Cross whom have given selflessly throughout the year, RedyMoney salutes you!!!

Seasonal employment means that you get the opportunity for those of us who are otherwise self-employed to expand our horizons and joins thousands in a diverse workforce. What a way to welcome spring, Home Depot!!! Good luck to all of Alabama that applies and gets accepted.

Imagine hearing this over the speaker: that the IRS owes you money. Wouldn’t you stop what you were doing and go find out? Maybe you would be afraid its a scam; which is only the case you had not files your returns so there is nothing to collect. To all those who have filed, ensure you get your returns and that you keep a record of filings and returns and see the balance.  Anyone going to the nearest tax support office coming Monday??? Well there are 18,000 of you according to the IRS!

You go Zoe!!! Indeed you are gifted and talented. Dear parents, are you giving Zoe a special treat this weekend??? This 11 year old already knows what she wants to see in her future, and she has made sure to create it for all to see. Whatever the results Zoe. RedyMoney is already proud of you!!!

Did someone say we have to wait, ALL of 17 more days for Spring??? Oh well, we’ll be right here. Have a wonderful weekend Alabama!!!

Inspiration has no deadline…….

It is inevitable that the observance of #BHM, is confined to a month, and we can always argue that to study the lives and contributions of those before us warrants more than a month. That may be true, but is it enough to just be swept away by the lives of our ancestors (as captivating as they may be)? What greater to celebrate lives than to emulate the virtues and characteristics of those who move us to think outside the box and inspire us to be more? What can you emulate today?

With just two days left in the month, RedyMoney encourages you to budget some time and reflect on how you have earned, used your resources wisely this month and also how obedient you have been in keeping the goals you have made for yourself… Spend some time to reflect and plan. Seeing the work you have done is a source of inspiration for you to continue.

Do we smell a mid-week break??? #sniffs…. If so, see you after we cross over into March!!!
